When he came to know my marks. He was silent for a while as if he were broke and sad. I saw the hopelessness on his face and his eyes shone a little. He stayed quiet for a while and then said "Koi bat nahi, himmat e mardan maddad e khudda, agli bar sahi" I went to my mum and cried on her shoulder.
I slept besides my father. He said "Sojao, next time fsc k marks barha k achy college men merit bnaen gy" But in my repeat year, I always had the wish to fulfill my parents' wish. As I was going to be the first doctor of our family and my siblings were even not so good at studies, so, for my parents, it seemed a big task. Both of them wanted me to be a doctor but inside they were not much sure about it, but mostly they would keep their doubts in their heads only.

Sometimes, mum would speak out "Kahan hum sy hga yh kam, bht mushkil hy, brry bry toppers bhe mushkil sy jaty, hm itny kahan zaheen" But the year went on, I was motivated to very high level. There was a fire in my heart. In the 2nd attempt, when I was checking the key. Mum was also with us. Mum and dad in front of me.
While I was analyzing my paper with the key. After every set of 5 MCQs without a mistake, I would stop for a while, my mum dad would clap with their smiling faces. So I checked the whole paper, calculated to 190 and the feeling was just awesome. Mum's dad was super happy. I thought I have done the job. Aggregate was 90.5% (947 in fsc) . I thought it's enough.
In a few days, we realized that 90.5% is not enough as the MDCAT scores of students were brilliant. Days went on, we had been waiting for fsc results. Father said "if you could increase your marks to 980 or 990 , maybe we could make it to a medical college.
" And finally the result day of fsc. I had bee facing disappointing results since matric. But this was the point where everything was nearly going to be final. Either I would make it to Medical college or I would be dropped out. I was waiting for the result, alone in my room. Mum was doing her home chores. Dad was on duty. It was 10:00 AM.
I was just super silent and emotional. I was praying a lot. My heart was continuously looking towards the city of Prophet Muhammad saw. Asking for a little help, a little ray of blessing, a little attention to make my life. When it was 10:10AM. I sent the roll number to 800290(our code of Sargodha Board). After sending it, I dropped the phone upside down.
The notification sound rang, but I had not enough courage to pick up the phone and see the result. After 5mins in this emotional state. I mustered up the courage and opened the message. I did not care to see the marks of each subject rather went down to see the total and it was 1031!!! I in a millisecond cried out loud! I was like how can a student like me make such an improvement in the subjects of arts! Calculated my aggregate,
It was 94.36%. Omg. I was good enough for my dream college AIMC. I went out to hug my mum. Forwarded my result to dad. He was shocked, he simply replied "good". Came back home and said "Mujhy tw yakeen e nahi a rha" Hugged me and we celebrated that day to the fullest. Juniors, you ought to bring these happy moments for your parents and for you.
