SZABMU MDCAT Past Papers and Practice Guide
SZABMU does not release an official past paper archive, and we do not host scanned copies of its papers. We previously linked to shared Google Drive folders here and have removed them, because we could not verify who compiled them or whether the answer keys were correct. Sending you to an unverified key is worse than sending you nowhere.
What you can practise with instead
- Official notifications and sample papers. SZABMU and the FMDC admission portal publish the paper pattern, marks distribution and occasional sample questions for each session. Check them before every attempt, because the split has changed more than once.
- The national MDCAT syllabus. SZABMU follows the PMDC syllabus, so every topic that can be asked is already public. Our MDCAT syllabus guide breaks it down subject by subject with the marks attached to each.
- UHS past papers. Same national syllabus, same question style, and they are genuinely available. Work through the UHS MDCAT past papers as your main timed practice, then adjust for the SZABMU pattern below.
- Recalled questions from candidates. Useful for getting a feel for difficulty and phrasing, unreliable as an answer key. Treat anything recalled as a prompt to go back to the textbook, never as a confirmed answer.
If a folder claiming to hold every SZABMU paper reaches you on WhatsApp or Drive, open it with your guard up. Most of these collections are re-typed from memory, carry no source, and quietly mix in questions from other universities. Check a handful of answers against your textbook before you trust any of it.

Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad is the official body that conducts the MDCAT for Islamabad, the ICT and international candidates. SZABMU also oversees admissions at the Federal Medical and Dental College (FMDC) — the only public-sector medical college in Islamabad, offering 100 MBBS seats a year.

How to Use These Papers Effectively
- Attempt under timed conditions — match the timer to the question count printed on the paper.
- Mark and review every wrong answer — understand why, not just what.
- Track topic frequency — note which chapters appear year after year.
- Repeat papers after two to three weeks — to test retention rather than recognition.
- Compare with NUMS and other provincial papers — the difficulty differs and seeing both prepares you better.

Is the FMDC past paper the same as the SZABMU MDCAT past paper?
Yes. The FMDC admission test is conducted by SZABMU, so FMDC past papers are the same as SZABMU MDCAT past papers for Islamabad.
How many seats does FMDC offer for MBBS?
FMDC offers 100 MBBS seats. It is the only public-sector medical college in Islamabad and is affiliated with SZABMU.
Are these past papers solved?
SZABMU has never published an official solved paper for the MDCAT. Any “solved SZABMU paper” in circulation carries a key written by a coaching centre or a candidate, not by the university, so verify every answer against your textbook before you accept it.
Is there an official SZABMU past paper archive?
No. SZABMU and FMDC release the paper pattern and admission notifications, but not a paper bank. Use the national MDCAT syllabus and the UHS past papers on this site for timed practice, and treat shared collections as unverified.
Who sits the SZABMU MDCAT?
